Sovereign Homes was formed in 1989 by Steven Mungo and Stewart Mungo with the sole purpose of building luxury custom homes in the finest
neighborhoods in Greater Columbia, South Carolina. By leveraging The Mungo Company’s financial stability, land position and purchasing
power, the success of Sovereign Homes was quickly established, as was its reputation as one of Columbia’s finest custom home builders.
Since 1954, the Mungo family has built its business on the principles of quality, value and integrity. The Mungo legacy of developing some
of Greater Columbia’s most prestigious and time-tested neighborhoods like Wexford-on-the-Lake, Spring Valley and Sheffield translates into
unmatched purchasing power, capitalization and stability for Sovereign Homes. Specializing only in luxury custom and semi-custom homes,
Sovereign’s unique approach of combining lavish attention to detail with today’s finest building technology translates into an exceptional
experience and a superior new home for each select home owner.
Since 1989, Sovereign Homes has built homes throughout Greater Columbia in neighborhoods including Ascot, Sheffield, Wildewood, Windermere,
Carriage Hill Plantation, Windsor Crossing, Sterling Lake and Hampton’s Grant.

Sovereign Homes’ President Allyson Way Hank has been building new homes with the Mungo organization since 2002. Allyson is among
a small percentage of women who head home building companies. The National Association of Home Builders reports that less than 10
percent of the construction industry is made up of women, and only a fraction of the home building companies represented have women at the helm.
Allyson’s experience in commercial construction and the new home industry, her business sense, design skills, attention to detail
and knowledge of building systems serve her well, and afford her an exceptional connection with her home buyer.
A native of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Allyson is a Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude graduate of Wofford College.
